This week's Amazing Artisan is Willard Wigan. Mr. Wigan is another one of those artists who causes one's chin to drop. I cannot imagine the concentration and steadiness required to attempt his creations. He often works at night so the static electricity in the air and traffic vibrations do not disturb his work. I LOVE this guy--I've seen this before. Isn't he amazing??! It made me sad when he said that his teachers made him feel "small"--isn't that awful?? But he turned that around to something incredible. Cool.
I love it when people make judgements and they turn out to be completely wrong. I am glad he found his gift and ran with it.
